Does anyone know the recipe to the sangria at Buca Di Beppo?

One 5 gallon container of meshed and screened red grapes (pre washed in cool water). Add half pound of yeast but DO NOT ADD WATER. Cover and let ferment for 60 days. Screen and remove all skins and seeds but leave slush in. Add six sliced oranges with skins , six sliced limes with skins and half pound strawberries. Cover and let ferment 30 days. Wash bottles in hot water and fill with wine. Enjoy.Does anyone know the recipe to the sangria at Buca Di Beppo?

  • Does anyone have a recipe for Applebee's Peach Sangria?

I went to applebee's and had their white peach sangria. The description said white zin, peach schnapps, tropical juice and sprite. I've tried to recreate this several times and at several different bars. It comes out a lot pinker than the one that I had at applebees. I'm having a party and want to make some of this sangria. If anyone knows how to make it, or even something close to it, I'd love to know.Does anyone have a recipe for Applebee's Peach Sangria?
Someone claiming to know an Applebees bartender posted this response:

    Red Apple Sangria

3 oz Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon

    1 oz Shakka Red Apple

    1/2 oz Grenadine

    1 oz Pineapple Juice

    1 oz Cranberry Juice

    Splash lemon-lime soda

Garnish with a maraschino cherry, lime and orange wedge squeezed. Pour over ice in a big glass.

Instead of Red Apple Shakka (whatever that is), just put in peach snapps, for the cabernet replace w/white zin, and you can try a white peachy cran-blend (oceanspray)? Good luck!Does anyone have a recipe for Applebee's Peach Sangria?

Basically, I just get a bottle of cheapish red wine, no point in wasting a ten pound bottle on Sangria. Add the best part of a carton of orange juice, a large glug of brandy, and chopped fresh fruit. A few sprigs of mint wouldn't go amiss either. Add loads of ice, and sugar to taste. Who cares about the exact measurement when you make this? Whenever I make it it's usually after a few drinks at a party already, so it's bucket cocktails at it's best. Always works for me.
all it is is red wine with lemonade and a bit of fruit the fruity the wine the better ad loads of vodka for extra kick and freeze it drink it very cold
    Red wine sangria recipe

    Ingredients for 4 persons:

1 bottle of chilled medium to good quality red wine

陆 cup of sugar (may vary depending on sweet tooth ! )

1 can of an orange fizzy drink

1 can of a lemon fizzy drink

3 pieces of different fruits ( cut in wedges or chunks-it is not necessary to peel them)

    1 tray of ice cubes.

Pour the bottle of red wine into a ceramic pitcher and stir in the sugar with the wooden spoon. Then add the ingredients in the order they are listed and stir again. The pieces of fruit are delicious for dessert, too.
A little hint is to get some frozen fruit from your grocery store and throw that in there. Not only does it make it taste better, it also acts as ice too.
-chop Oranges, apples, grapes %26amp; soak overnight in brandy and red wine

    - empty into large jug and pour some generous glugs of brandy into the jug

    - pour in a large bottle of red wine %26amp; carton of Orange juice

-add lemonade %26amp; ice if you like
    Ingredients:

    Juice of 1/2 Orange

    1 bottle dry White wine

    2 tblsp Sugar

    1 oz Brandy

    1 oz Cointreau

    1/2 Orange in thin slices

    1 Lemon in thin slices

    2 cups Ice cubes

The best sangria recipe is from Cha Cha Cha restaurant in San Francisco and it is insanely easy!

    1 bottle of white wine

1 bottle of red wine (don't use the expensive stuff!)

    1 cup of sugar

Slice one whole orange and one whole lemon

Stir all ingredients together, place in refrigerator and let it sit over night! You can also add whatever other types of fruit that you like-apples and pears work well.

Lace with a little brandy or whatever other liquor-I like it without. My friends beg me to make this stuff! Enjoy!
    1 Litre of red wine

2 oranges (juice - ';naranjas de zumo';)

4 peaches, cut into small pieces

    5 desert spoons sugar

    2 pieces of lemon skin

    Steps:

1: Choose a red wine - Sangria is a refreshing drink and you don't need to use a vintage wine. We recommend a reasonably priced wine from Jumilla, Alicante or Valencia..... Put the wine into a jug, add the sugar, and stir until it is properly dissolved.

2: Squeeze the two oranges, and add the juice to the jug. Save a slice of orange skin to decorate.

3: Wash the peaches, peel them and cut them into small quarters (e.g. six per peach). Add them to the jug. If it is not Summer, you can use any other in-season fruit.

4: Put the jug into the fridge. Sangr铆a should always be served chilled. If you want to reduce the alchohol concentration, add icecubes and slices of lemon. If you want to increase the alcohol concentration, add a small amount of cognac or rum.
Here is a recipe that I found in my bartender's guide so hope it helps! Hic!

    Ingredients:

    6 oranges peeled and diced

    juice of 3 lemons

2 3/4 oz of rum or cognac

7 oz Malaga wine or Madeira

    1/2 cup of sugar

    3 bottles of red wine

1 1/2 bottles sparkling mineral water

Mix together the first 5 ingredients in a punch bowl then cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour. Add the red wine and mineral water just before serving.

Makes about 10 servings so hope it goes OK! Happy drinking!!

What are the best recipe and tips to make nice Sangria?

I've been collecting Sangria recipes, tips, and suggestions for many years. In essence Sangria is a red wine punch, created in Spain and made popular in the US at the 1964 World's Fair. It normally has red wine, brandy, and fruit. However, it can be made in just about any style you can imagine.

Sangria is the perfect party punch that just about everybody loves! Fresh, fruity, delicious, Sangria can be made in any number of styles from spicy to mild to rich to bubbly

    Grand Marnier Sangria

I had this at a local, classy fish restaurant. It was really quite tasty so I asked for the recipe. Here's how you create a Grand Marnier Sangria, with lots of fruit and orange flavor!

    1 bottle Woodbridge Cabernet

    4 shots Grand Marnier

    6 cherries, sliced

    2 oranges, segmented

    1 lemon, quartered

    1 lime, quartered

Mix all ingredients together and let sit for a few hours. Strain and serve over ice.

    Fruity Sangria Blanca

Sangria with fruit is a perfect summertime drink. What makes it great is that you can customize it to hold your favorite fruits, and get some lovely nutrition as well! Where most sangrias are made with red wine, this is made with white wine to emphasize the fruity flavors.

1 bottle Spanish (or other favorite) white wine

    1/3 cup sugar

    3/4 cup peach-flavored brandy

    6 tbsp thawed lemonade concentrate

    8 oz sliced peaches

    1 cup sliced green grapes

    1 cup sliced red grapes

Mix together the wine, sugar, brandy and lemonade until well mixed. Add in the fruits, and refrigerate overnight.

Serve the next day from a large pitcher filled with ice

    Sangria - The Mexican Kitchen

Sometimes Mexican cookbooks just have the boring things you can get out of any webpage. Burrito. Taco. Quesadilla. But then, sometimes, you find the truly special cookbooks that reach deeper, into the interesting things that Mexicans actually eat much of the time. Do we really think that people in Mexico eat tacos every single day, for every meal?

Here's a sample recipe from this great cookbook - their Sangria. It's interesting because, unlike most sangrias, it can be served instantly without sitting overnight. Also, the notes say that it's slightly less alcoholic than the Spanish original.

    Ingredients

4 cups dry red table wine

2/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

    1/2 cup caster sugar

2 lines or 1 apple, sliced, to serve

Half fill a large jug with ice cubes. Pour in the wine and the orange and lime juices.

Add the sugar and stir well until it has dissolved. Pour into tumblers and float the lime or apple slices on top.

    Serve at once.

NOTE: Caster sugar is a very fine sugar, although not as powdery as confectioner's sugar. It's used in drinks because it dissolves easily. If you only have normal sugar, grind it up a bit in your food processor

1 peach or nectarine sliced thin and peeled.

    1 lemon sliced

1 can jumex peach nectar or equivalent

    1/4 cup peach schnapps

1 bottle prosecco, champagne, cava, or asti spumante, depending on the level of sweetness you like.

Put fruit in the bottom of a glass pitcher. Smush it a little. Pour in the can of nectar and the liquor. Let stand about an hour. When ready to serve, pour in the prosecco and pour over ice. No need for club soda if you use sparkling wine.

OR, you could replace the prosecco with a bottle of white wine and 2 cups of club soda/mineral water. Whatever you like.

Sangria is based on the traditional red wine punch popular across europe for hundreds of years. The punch base would be claret, i.e. Bordeaux wine from France. Brandy and fruit would be added to the punch for flavor. In the 1700s and 1800s, Claret Cup Punch could be found at parties of all sizes.

White Sangria Recipe courtesy Rachael Ray

This sangria takes 5 to 10 minutes to assemble in a large pitcher. Take the time to prepare it in the morning so the sangria has several hours to develop its fruity flavor. Pull it out when dinner is done is ready to serve that evening.

    3 tablespoons sugar

3 shots Calvados or other apple liquor

    1 lime, sliced

    1 lemon, sliced

2 ripe peaches, cut into wedges

3 ripe green apples seeded and cut into wedges

1 bottle white Rioja Spanish wine or other dry white wine

    1 pint raspberries

Sparkling soda water, for topping off glasses of sangria at table

Combine sugar, Calvados, lime, lemon, peaches and apples in a large pitcher. Cover with 1 bottle of Rioja wine and chill sangria several hours. To serve, spoon fruits into glasses or goblets, adding a few fresh raspberries in each glass, pour wine over top of the fruit. Top glasses of sangria off with a splash of soda water and serve.I need a recipe for sangria?
    This is my favorite one......

    2 tsp. sugar

    1 orange sliced

    A good shot of brandy

    5鈥? oz. Rioja wine

    Splash lemon-lime club soda

Add sugar, 2 orange slices and a good shot of brandy to a cocktail shaker. Muddle together until the sugar is dissolved. Add ice cubes to the shaker along with the Rioja wine. Shake and strain into a martini glass and top with a splash of lemon-lime club soda. Garnish with an orange slice.

Rachael Ray made it on Oprah and it is really good! I use Gingerale instead of club soda.... she said you could on the show and I think it tastes even better that way!I need a recipe for sangria?
this is how i make mine (i just kinda make them up, you don't need a recipe)

either red wine or white wine will do, any kind really, cause you're mixing it, so don't use your good wines for this.

juice - cranberry, pomegranate, orange (any of them is fine)

    lime for a twist

and sometimes i add a shot of vodka to kick it up

use equal parts of wine %26amp; juice, add vodka if you like, then give it a lime twist.

very refreshing. if you do the orange juice, though, use white wine, not red. if it's too tart for you, add some sugar or simple syrup.
    2 liters Burgundy wine

    1 liter, rose

    6 oz. brandy

    6 oz. sweetened lemon juice

    20 oz. orange juice

Pour all ingredients into a punch bowl and add several cups of ice cubes and stir well. Float orange slices, lime wedges, and cherries on top.
I just make a simple one with Cabernet, Sprite, Strawberry sauce, and lime, but you really can play with Sangria All you need is a red wine whichever is your favorite, your favorite fruit(blended to a juice or sauce works best), a clear soda can be club soda, ginger ale, sprite, 7 up I have even had cream soda (very good and you dont have to sweeten), and whatever garnish you decide to decorate or sqeeze into it.

Now for how to mix it, ALMOST half a glass of wine, ALMOST half a glass of soda, fill to rim with fruit, put into shaker and shake or serve over ice. and garnish! If you are making a batch so to speak just use a blender and a pitcher and follow the same rules.
Its half red wine, and half fruit juice. The best is fresh orange. IN Spain its common to add finely cut chunks of apple, pear, peach and/or thin sliced orange. Add sugar to taste, refrigerate, enjoy.
red wine ,orange juice and sliced citrus with a bit of sugar

    Sangria Recipe

Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice. However, remember that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the frig. - allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other.

Just get your favorite red wine and pour into a pitcher. Cut up your favorite fruit and drop into pitcher. The best is lemon, orange or lime but anything will work. Then mix in 2 to 3 cups of club soda or some people use ginger ale. You can also add a shot of brandy or something like Grand Marnier.
I've tried a few recipes and this is the one people like the best. You can scale it up or down, depending on how much you and your friends want to drink.

2 bottles of red wine (Cab. Sauv. works the best, especially Yellow Tail or Lindeman's)

    2 cans of Fresca soda

    1/4 cup sugar

    2-5 apples

    1-3 oranges

    1/2 lime

    1/2 lemon

Pour the wine, soda and sugar into a pitcher or bowl and mix well. Then cut up the apples into small cubes and add them. Peel the oranges and place the wedges into the mix. My friends don't like the oranges as much as the apples so I tend to use less of them. For the lime and lemon, just cut them into small pieces and place them into the pitcher. Allow the sangria to sit overnight in the fridge before consuming. You will need to take out the lime and lemon before serving. I find it easiest to make a pouch out of the netting that the oranges came in and putting the lime and lemon in it. This way it is really easy to just pull out the pouch and serve.

The beauty of sangria is that it is a wine and fruit punch. As with any punch you can make it to taste. Citrus fruits are used most often, but I have seen thinly sliced apples and various melons used also. You could even use grapes, but I imagine that you'd have to peel them. Simply pour your chosen wine into a large bowl or pot (like a dutch oven. Slice the fruit as thin as possible, put it in the wine and allow several hours for the wine to absorb the fruit taste. If it's for a party that evening, I would suggest making the sangria by noon, if not earlier. You can also add things like 50/50, 7-up, Squirt etc.White wine sangria recipe?

    OR

    INGREDIENTS:

1 Bottle of white wine (Riesling, Albarino, Chablis, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc)

    2/3 cup white sugar

3 oranges (sliced) or may substitute 1 cup of orange juice)

    1 lemon (sliced)

    1 lime (sliced)

1/2 liter of ginger ale or club soda (ginger ale for those with a sweeter tooth!)

    PREPARATION:

Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the orange, lemon and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and add sugar. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale or club soda just before serving.

If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled white wine and serve over lots of ice.

Addition ideas: sliced strawberries, peaches, handful of fresh blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, a shot or two of gin, brandy or rum, a cup of citrus-flavored soda pop

Strong sangria recipe that can equally serve up to 20 people.?

3 parts Tazo Passion Tea (I make it hot, then ice it)

2 parts wine (cheap grenache is best...good fruit, not too tannic)

    1 part sparkling water (I use raspberry-lime)

I use sweet-n-low and end up with a great low-cal drink that's great for any diet--Weight Watchers, South Beach, Atkins. You could use sugar instead.

It's strong in flavor, fruity, refreshing, and sweet, but also very complex. If you want stronger in alcohol, you could go with 3 parts wine. Or add everclear.

The best white sangria I have ever had was from a Spanish Tapas restaurant I used to frequent in Las Vegas, where I was a caterer. The head chef at Firefly Tapas bar shared the recipe with me.

First go to the store and buy a liquor called ';Alize';, in a misty bottle, and get the one that is orangey citrus. This is their secret, and they are famous for their sangria. Get a bottle of chardonnay as well.

Then you come home and dice some fruit, pears and grapes, and maybe some oranges after removing the rind. Add some white wine, the nice chardonnay, and some grapefruit juice, and the Alize you just bought. Let it meld for a day in a big jar.

People will be telling you that you should open your own restaurant.

And you should, because you have an award winning recipe for sangria.

    Sangria Recipe?

Just got back from a holiday in Spain and my wife's after an authentic Sangria recipe. Can anyone help please???Sangria Recipe?
A very simple, basic sangria recipe. While this sangria is delicious as is, this recipe intentionally leaves ample room for improvisation and additions, and should therefore be used as a springboard to create your own unique sangria recipes. The unaltered basic sangria recipe below, however would meet with the approval of strict sangr铆a traditionalists.

here's one that i used at an authentic spanish tapas bar :

in a pitcher: *** cut apples and oranges, star fruit looks nice too!

    put in 2 Tbs. sugar

    3oz. brandy

    1oz. triple sec or cointreau

fill pitcher 3/4 full with red wine

    1/2cup orange juice

    top off with soda water

*** i started putting the cut up fruit in a container with the brandy and adding that in last...it tastes so good. try this recipe!!!
Hi! I tell you a recipe learnt from a Spanish friend:

    In a bowl mix:

    Chopped apples (two or three)

    One bottle of red wine

    Half bottle of Bacardi

    Half bottle of orangeade

If you have more guests double the recipe!
This is how I make it at my restaurant. Start with a large jug of red wine. Go for whatever is on sale because you are going to add lots of stuff. Add a cup or two of brandy. Brandy is made from grapes and fortifies the wine. Add cup of triple sec. This will add sweetness and some orange flavor but it shouldn't overpower the other ingredients. Add half cup of grenadine. This will add more sweetness and enrich the color so if you'd rather not have it so sweet either use less or omit.

If you use the grenadine add a cup or so of soda water. If no grenadine use 7 up. Cut a couple of lemons, limes, and oranges, into slices. Toss them in along with a jar of maraschino cherries including the juice. I doubt if I've ever made it exactly the same twice so just play with the amounts until you get the taste you like best.

    RECIPE FOR SPANISH SANGR脥A

    The authentic traditional Spanish Sangria!

    Ingredients:

If you want to increase the alcohol concentration, add a small amount of cognac or rum.Sangria recipe?

    Red Lobster

This special variation of sangria would be the perfect complement for South Beach Seafood Paella. Try orange wedges and green apple chunks for a beautiful garnish.

    Serves 4

    Ingredients:

    4 oz. canned cranberries, pureed

    1 bottle of Chardonnay

    1 bottle of White Zinfandel

    2 oz. Tuaca liquor

1 mini-bottle (approximately 1 2/3 oz.) of Sour Apple Pucker

    1 mini-bottle (approximately 1 2/3 oz.) of Triple Sec

    4 oz. cranberry juice

    2 oz. orange juice

Orange wedges and green apple chunks for garnish

    Preparation:

Place the canned cranberries in a blender and puree for approximately 4-5 seconds. The mixture should not be totally smooth. Measure out 4 ounces.

In a two-quart container or pitcher, combine all the ingredients.

Stir well and store in refrigerator until ready to serve.

Serve approximately 6 ounces of the beverage over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a fresh skewer of fruit using the orange wedges and green apple chunks.

    Chef's Tips:

It's best to make sangria a day in advance, because the longer the flavors can blend together, the better. Don鈥檛 put the fruit into the sangria at the last minute. Allow it to soak up the flavor of the liquids. Use a quality wine in your sangria, and make sure to put it in the glass or pitcher before you start mixing in the other ingredients. Since fruit is a great expression of the seasons, use those types that are fresh and in season. For example, during the summer, mix a white wine with peaches, nectarines and blueberries. In the winter, use citrus fruits like oranges and tangerines. In the fall, choose apples and berries. Be sure you use fruit juices that are consistent with the fruits in your sangria. In the summer, use peach nectar. If you鈥檙e using citrus fruits, use orange juice. If you're using berries, use cranberry juice.

    Sangria Liqueur - Sweet recipe

    2 bottles red wine

    1 cup sugar

    2 cans Fresca庐 grapefruit soda

    several apples

    several oranges

    several limes

    several lemons

Melt the sugar in a couple of cups of hot water. I do this so I don't end up with a lot of undissolved sugar in the end. Cut apples into small chunks (1'; or so)the apples absorb the wine the most, so I tend to use a lot of apples.

Peel the citrus fruits (lemons and limes are difficult to peel) and break into wedges. Mix the wine, sugar, fruit, and Fresca and put in the fridge for a few hours.

I tend to take out the lemons and limes before serving because they get slimy and no one wants to munch on them anyway. Serve in an iced tea glass with a straw and one of those cocktail swords so your guests can get at the fruit without getting their fingers sticky.

    Sangria Liqueur

1 1/2 liters Cabernet Sauvignon red wine

    1 cup sugar

    3 - 4 oz brandy

    1 large sliced lemon

    1 large sliced orange

    1 large sectioned apple

    1. Mix ingredients together in a large container, stir, and let sit in a refrigerator for 18-24 hours.

Note: A much more delightful sangria is produced when the fruit juice blends with the wine by osmmosis rather than by stirring.

    2. Before serving, stir again, and add sugar or brandy to taste. It should be fairly strong and fairly sweet, almost syrupy. Then, cut the mixture with some sort of bubbly water, orange or lemon flavored if possibly, but plain bubbly water is fine, until it seems to have a thinner, more wine like consistency. Serve immediately.

If you can't get good fresh lychees, use a whole can with juice, pineapple chunks, chopped mango, tangerine slices, lime slices, and 2 liters of red or white wine. I let the tropical fruits mix together for a couple of hours in the lychee juice and enough wine to cover the mix in a bowl. Then add the citrus fruits 15 minutes before serving so the citrus doesn't overwhelm the lychees.

Don't use those dried up lychees you get at most Oriental food places. Fresh ones should be peeled and pitted and left to soak in sugar water for a few hours. If you put in the freezer for 20 minutes before peeling, it makes the task easier.

Sangria is my party specialty...I make it at every party I throw, and get complaints if I don't have it! I know this recipe is not ';fancy,'; but it is so good and easy to drink.

Red table wine (I just use Franzia table wine, the 3L box - I know there's prejudice against boxed wine, but there's no point getting expensive red wine just to pour other crap in it and dilute the tase)

    Orange pop - 1 1/2 2L Bottles

Orange and apples slices, soaked in rum overnight with cinnamon

Combine the red wine, orange pop, and put in fruit - maybe add a little more rum if you like

It's so good, and then you can suck the rum out of the fruit you get.

There is not something like a strict Sangria recipe. Basically, you should buy some sweet wine or true Spanish Sangria and cut whatever fruit you have on hand, but make sure to include different fruit for variety. Add some spices if you want (I love vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg) and cool down completely. Serve in tall glasses along with a straw and a teaspoon for fruit in it.

鈥?1 Orange, again cut into wedges

    鈥?10 maraschino cherries, yum!

鈥?1 Apple cut into thin slices

    鈥?1/4 cup brandy

    鈥?1/4 cup triple sec

    鈥?1/2 cup white rum

鈥?1 bottle (750ml) dry red wine. I personally prefer to use Merlot.

    Optional Ingredients:

    鈥?1/4 cup sugar

鈥?2 Cups ginger ale or Carbonated Water

If you feel your sangria is a little too dry or acidic, you can add some sugar to taste

You can either serve sangria carbonated or flat. Most people prefer to take the lazy approach to make carbonated sangria and just add a carbonated drink like ginger ale to add a little fizz, which leaves your sangria only mildly carbonated; But I have an excellent trick for a superduper fizz.

    Getting that super duper fizz:

Go to the grocery store or maybe gas station and you can buy a block of dry ice.

Use a strong screw top drink bottle (or more than one if you have a large batch of sagnria) and put some dry ice into the bottle.

Seal the lid and leave it in the fridge overnight.

the next day, you will have super fizzy sangria, Even the fruit will fizz in your mouth! I'm not kidding, take a piece of apple, it will fizz!Does anyone have a great Sangria recipe?

Grilled Rosemary Shrimp Skewers with Sea Salt

SUBMITTED BY: South Beach Diet - Online

    ';Enjoy Phase One with this great shrimp dish. Infused with the classic Mediterranean herbs rosemary and thyme, these quick-cooking skewers look fabulous and taste even better. The skewers can be cooked on a ridged cast-iron grill pan, on a home grill or in the broiler. Ask the fishmonger to shell and devein the shrimp for you.';

    INGREDIENTS

16 extra-large shrimp, shelled and deveined

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves

16 4-inch rosemary skewers (see below)

    Sea salt

    DIRECTIONS

In a medium non-metal bowl, combine shrimp, oil and thyme. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or up to 6 hours.

For rosemary skewers: Pull half of the leaves off each stalk, so that leaves remain on one end. Sharpen the other end into a point with a paring knife. Thread shrimp onto the pointed end of each skewer, as shown in photo.

Heat a grill, grill pan, or broiler. Cook shrimp about 3 minutes per side, until they turn opaque and start to curl slightly. Place on serving platter; sprinkle with sea salt.

    RECIPE FOR SPANISH SANGR脥A

    The authentic traditional Spanish Sangria!

    Ingredients:

1 (750 ml) bottle inexpensive fruity medium-bodied red wine

1 (750 ml) bottle coconut rum (I use Captain Morgan)

    1 large fresh orange

    1 fresh lime

    1 fresh lemon

    5 fresh kiwi

    1 lb green grapes

    1 fresh mango

    1 lb fresh strawberries

Wash and cut the fruit into small chunks.

You do not need to peel the fruit, just wash and chunk.

Place the cut fruit pieces into a large cooler.

(We buy the styrofoam disposable coolers with the lid.) Pour the full contents of the red wine and rum over the fresh fruit, mixing and stirring.

Cover the cooler and and let sit for at least 24 hours in a dark cool place.

    (This is the hard part.).

Serve the mixture by spooning out with a laddle into cups with the fruit and liquid.

Can be poured over ice, but is equally as good straight from the cooler

The best recipes are when you experiment with the ingredients you like and come up with your own. Get 2 bottles of a wine you like, slice up fruit you like, add sugar if you like it sweet, add bitters if you like it bitter, add fruit flavored liquors if you want, let it set in the refrigerator over night and enjoy!!!

Since sangria is mostly red wine the only thing you can do is use non-alcoholic wine. Then add some cut up fruit and a little fruit juice.
Without wine I wouldn't call it sangria. I suggest calling it Fruit punch with fruit slices and chunks. Try putting some martinelli's sparkling apple, cranberry or some strong apple juice to make it taste a bit strong.
