Applebees Red Apple Sangria





3oz Cabernet Sauvignon


1oz Sour Mix


1oz Apple Juice


1oz Pineapple Juice


1oz Cranberry Juice (optional or as substitute for apple juice)





Add lime wedges, orange slices, apple balls - the more fruit the better it tastes.





RED OR WHITE SANGRIA





1/2 c. sugar


1/2'; lemon slices (1 lemon)


1/4'; orange slices (1 lg. orange)


Apple wedges (1 lg. apple, sliced thinly)


1 fifth red wine


1/4 c. brandy or rum


24 oz. ginger ale


Diced bananas (1 lg. banana)





WHITE SANGRIA:





1/2 c. sugar


1/4'; lime slices (1-2 limes)


Cherries (Bing are best)


1 pt. strawberries


1/4'; lemon slices, optional


1 fifth white wine


1/4 c. white rum


24 oz. lemon lime soda





Combine sugar and fruit except bananas in large pitcher. Add liquor, refrigerate. Before serving, add ginger ale and bananas for red sangria; add lemon lime soda for white sangria. Can be made ahead. Serves 10-12 people.What's the best recipe for home-made Sangria?

1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry red wine

DIRECTIONS





1. In a large pitcher or bowl, mix together the brandy, lemon juice, lemonade concentrate, orange juice, red wine, triple sec, and sugar. Float slices of lemon, orange and lime, and maraschino cherries in the mixture. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
