sangria -157 recipes
what a choice of recipes from bubblegum to pear or passion fruit and then the traditional recipes. I have never made sangria but after looking at a few of these recipes I just might have to. Cheers :)
Try some red wine, white wine, 7-Up, Coke and Fanta Orange. Throw in any of your favorite fruits and some ice.
Enjoy.
I love Sangria!!! My best friend and I make a different batch every year. However, one year she took a recipe from the Food Network and everyone loved it!!!
Sassy Sangria
3 cups chianti or other fruity red wine
1 cup brandy
1/4 cup orange flavored liqueur (recommended: triple sec)
1 orange, sliced
1 lime, sliced, optional
1 lemon, sliced, optional
1 apple, cored and diced
8 fresh raspberries
2 cups club soda, chilled
In a large pitcher, combine all ingredients except club soda. Cover tightly and refrigerate 3 hours to let flavors meld. Pour 3/4 cup sangria mixture into each of 8 wine glasses, dividing fruit equally. Top each glass with 1/4 cup club soda. Serve immediately.
Although, there are several variations to Sangria and more traditional types of Sangria. Hence, I would recomend figuring out if your guests prefer white or red. Since, there are some really nice white sangria's you can make to.
You can also make a sparkling Sangria too.
Have fun!11
At most major supermarkets there is a sangria available in a box. It is Franzia Fruity Red Sangria. Don't laugh, you have got to try this wine over ice. It's under ten bucks a box ( 5 litres ) and worth much more. Very similar in quality to Two Buck Chucks' Merlot.
