Good party sangria recipe?

For people in their 20s.


For about 6-8 people.


I'm looking for a GOOD one.


I haven't been able to find a really satisfying one.


Preferably with a hint of Italian flavor.Good party sangria recipe?
Try using a Merlot blend, since you want it sweet.


Merlot blended with cherry or blackberry will work just fine.

A very good, cheap and easy way to make Sangria is simply with box wine (red Zinfandel works well) and orange crush. Stir, add ice cubes and serve in a big bowl. You can add fresh cut oranges if you like too.
1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz)


1 Lemon cut into wedges


1 Orange cut into wedges


1 Lime cut into wedges


2 Tbsp sugar


Splash of orange juice


2 Shots of gin


1 Cup of sliced strawberries or raspberries (may use thawed or frozen)


1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice)


4 Cups ginger ale





Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin.

FIRST: cut up fruit, I use: mango, orange, pineapple, and apple in a large bowl.





SECOND: pour in a bottle of brandy and soak overnight.





THIRD: the next day, pour in some cheap burgundy (I buy the gallon bottles for about $7 at the liquor store) and a 1/2 gallon Dole tropical juice (any tropical juice, but I use the mango/pineapple juice) and mix together.





LAST: Serve over ice, and top with Sprite!

p.s. for a variation, you can also use a blush or white wine.

2 bottles ( at least) of cheap red wine no point in using a good red as the flavour needs the rougher taste not a smooth taste


1 or 2 cartons of good quality orange Juice


Lots of fruit . apples /oranges/ lemons


lemonade ( I let mine go flat but can use it fizzy if you prefer)


I use Vodka because the idea is for it to taste of a nice refreshing fruit drink but to have the kick of an old grumpy donkey. Vodka doesn't over power the flavor or Baccardi will do whichever you prefer really and always a couple of shots of Brandy (just a cheap one don't waste the good stuff) I use about half a bottle of vodka ( sometimes more !) but that does make it quite strong best to add a little wait then try and see . you can always add more if needed.


I like to make mine early in the morning so the fruit has time to flavour the drink.


Add ice if required drink and enjoy.


I have made this many times over the last 10 years and it always goes down a treat sorry can't think of anything Italian to add,maybe use an italian wine.
