Start with red wine, something a bit sweet...or you can mix a port in with some other red wine to make it a bit sweeter.
Bitters (it's essential, just ask someone in the liquor area if you don't know what it is...use a dash or two, it's really good but powerful so make sure you taste test and don't put too much)
A bit of lemonade but not too much, or just squeeze fresh lemons into wine...
Oranges (slices)
Lemons (slices)
Limes (slices)
Other fruits... strawberry, cherry, (not banana)...grapefruit is good.
Sangria is great when you make it this way, especially on a warm day! It's so refreshing...Use fresh fruits, then they'll be in the sangria, which is pretty, and fun.
Jungle juice is good too, it uses fruit and a lot of booze! Great for parties!I am looking for some fun fruity sangria recipes...any suggestions??
Get your hands on a couple bottles of Monin syrup for the easiest course of action:

However, I wouldn't suggest the recipe on the bottle. Try this recipe (makes a party batch, obviously can be scaled down):
6 Liters Inexpensive Red Wine (Carlo Rossi 'Chianti' is perfect)
4 Cups Inexpensive Brandy (Rikaloff works!)
2 750mL bottles of Monin Red Sangria Syrup
10 Cups Orange Juice
3/4 Tablespoon Cinnamon (a little goes a long way, careful not to overdo it!
Just stir and enjoy! Add fruit slices if you'd like (always a nice touch)I am looking for some fun fruity sangria recipes...any suggestions??
I don't know about making sangria..but the arbor mist sangria is sooo good, add some fruit to it..good to go!
Look up sangria cha cha cha
I looked it up and it is a recipe from a restaurant in San Francisco:
1 orange, cut into 1/8-inch slices
1 lemon
1 cup sugar
1 bottle dry white wine
1 bottle dry red wine
Sliced peaches, grapes, strawberries, or other seasonal fruit (optional)
Gin, Grand Marnier, or brandy to taste (optional)
Combine the orange, lemon, sugar, and wines in a large glass bowl and stir for several minutes. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 to 6 hours, or overnight. Add the optional fruits and spirits, if you like. Serve over ice or, just before serving, place some ice cubes in the punch bowl.
