Use: Large, clear pitcher.
Makes 6 (8 ounce servings).
In large pitcher, dissolve sugar in lemon juice. Add wine, Club Soda, orange juice, Curacao, lemon cartwheels and ice cubes; stir well. Garnish individual servings with orange twists, strawberries or mint, if desired. What's your favorite sangria recipe?
Cut a fresh red apple into half-inch little cubes, mix it with a bottle of red wine and a freshly sqweezed orange in a glass pitcher. Cover it with a piece of cloth for 30 minutes up to an hour, so the fruit can ferment a little bit. Then just add some orange-flavored or lime-flavored soda and enjoy! You can add a little sugar to speed up the fermentation process.
For white sangria (although that sounds oxymoronic since sangria comes from the spanish word ';sangre';, meaning blood, probably because of the color), just replace the apples with guanabana and/or pineapples and mix it with lime-flavored soda. You can also use a can of fruit cocktail and you will get a quick-fermenting white sangria. What's your favorite sangria recipe?
I prefer non-alcoholic sangria.
fill up a pitcher half way with grape juice and another half with lemon lime soda. If you really like alcoholic drinks substitute the Soda for sparkling wine
