The Best Sangria
The longer sangria sits before drinking, the more smooth and mellow it will taste. A full day is best, but if that's impossible, give it an absolute minimum of two hours to sit. Use large, heavy, juicy oranges and lemons for the best flavor. Doubling or tripling the recipe is fine, but you'll have to switch to a large punch bowl in place of the pitcher.
4 servings 2录 hours 2录 hours prep
2 large oranges, washed, one orange sliced, remaining orange juiced
1 large lemon, washed and sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup triple sec
1 (750 ml) bottle inexpensive fruity medium-bodied red wine, chilled
Add sliced orange and lemon and sugar to large pitcher; mash gently with wooden spoon until fruit releases some juice, but is not totally crushed, and sugar dissolves, about 1 minute.

Before serving, add 6 to 8 ice cubes and stir briskly to distribute settled fruit and pulp; serve immediately.

This is my favorite. I make it all the time. I make it for a large dinner party (usually 8-10 people)
2 bottles white wine
1 liter of apple juice
1 liter of cranberry juice (or any fruit juice for extra flavor)
Slices of oranges, strawberries, limes
Fresh ginger sprinkled on top
Combine and chill for at least 3 hours. Then serve.Does anyone have have a good recipe for sangria?
o yeah! for a quick one-glass (8 oz) sangria mix all following ingredients
few ice cubes
1/2 glass red wine
1 shot brandy
1 shot triple sec (or grand marnier)
a splash of lemon juice
top with fresh orange juice
cut small pcs of fruit such as apple and peach
yummy!
INGREDIENTS:
1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz)
1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Orange cut into wedges
1 Lime cut into wedges
2 Tbsp sugar
Splash of orange juice
2 Shots of gin
1 Cup of sliced strawberries or raspberries (may use thawed or frozen)
1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice)
4 Cups ginger ale
PREPARATION:
Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin.
Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice. However, remember that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the frig. - allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other.
